A really good artist...

Hi! Here I have some stuff that I found from the website of an artist called Amy Holliday,

You should check it out. Anyway, I thought that it might be good to have some stuff on illustrators on here, seeing as how important they are to some books...

Amy is a young professional illustrator and typographer based in Cumbria, North West England. She graduated from

the University of Cumbria in 2011.

Amy has an affinity for animals and finds herself inspired by conservation and the richness of nature. She is fascinated by exotic places, colourful

cultures, and the unique characters and personalities within them. She has a passion for jewel colours and an obsession with making the ordinary a bit

more exciting. Whenever possible, she loves to illustrate from life, taking her sketchbook along to places where she can record direct observations.

Amy's upbringing in the varied landscape of Cumbria and travels to colourful destinations have nurtured her already overactive imagination, and

she finds that illustrating serves to be a good outlet for it!

Awards

Winner of the Illustration Category Excellence Award, published in Computer Arts Magazine's Graduate Showcase issue, 2011.
